You just can’t beat Bubbles! He is the eternal kitty man and his love for cats is nothing short of legendary. He dominates many plots in the Trailer Park Boys show and manages to carve out a distinct niche for himself.
If you are not able to gauge the popularity of the man, you need to attend one of the TPB concerts and watch the crowds swirl in action when he picks the guitar to utter some of the melodies.
Don’t judge by the looks
He gives a kind of goofy sleeping appearance. The funny eyeglasses enhance the eyes as well as the nerdy look. But none of the Sunnyvale characters can match his level of thinking.
By the way, I consider him the most innocent man in the show. Not that others have something deceptive about them but there is so much authenticity in his looks that it is hard to tread any other line of opinion.
Why is he called Bubbles?
No one knows the exact reason and for that matter no one has any clue regarding his real name as far as the storyline goes. Everyone addresses him as Bubbles and that is the end of the matter.
The actor Mike Smith who plays this character has made quite a sacrifice for the popularity of the show. He might have constrained his vision by wearing the nerdy glasses for so many years. In fact, fans might not approve of his looks without the glasses. And he has been doing that since 2000, I guess.
About new seasons in Trailer Park Boys
Everyone says they are coming but nothing concrete has come in yet. Ever since the animated series came out on Netflix I have had serious doubts about new plots actually being made in the real Sunnyvale park. But nothing is final, and nothing is impossible. Fans would like to believe that so that the hope for the new season keeps lingering on. Until then, I have my DVD sets pumped up for the weekends.
