- The first four seasons depict real trailer parks in and around Dartmouth and Halifax. You will not be able to notice the difference in locations. The makers did a fantastic job of keeping the views identical even when the actual filming zones were different.
- Location areas for Season 1 – Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia
- Season 2 – Dartmouth region ( near the Tufts Cove generating station )
- Season 3 – Governor lake ( Halifax)
- The plot gets interesting with the advent of Season 5. The crew decided to build their own set on Bisset Road in Cole Harbour. This gave a unique identity to Sunnyvale trailer park and there was better control of logistics. The settings lasted till Season 7
- For the next few seasons, the filming took place in Bible Hill Estates Trailer park ( Truro, Nova Scotia ). Things stayed pretty much steady for a while.
